Hearing Wellness Organization is an educational non-profit that exists to promote induction loop technology.
Our roots are established in an audiology practice that discovered the amazing benefit induction loop systems offered people that are hard of hearing. Our primary purpose is to help people hear better by promoting induction loop technology. Frequently a hard of hearing person with state of the art hearing aids will say "I can't hear the TV" and/or "I can't hear at public places like my church". Loop Systems address those two very central issues... and many more. Unlike common systems that force users to wear headsets, boxes, or other unhygienic devices, a loop system works with and completes the hearing aid. The signal is picked up by a small coil of wire inside the hearing aid, called a T-Coil. The sound is mixed and adjusted by the hearing aid to compensate for the users hearing loss, giving as close to true sound reproduction as possible with an assistive device. To the listener, it sounds like the speaker is sitting on their shoulder, talking directly in their ear!
We Believe:
- Induction loops are the best choice for assistive listening systems
- Installation should comply with the international standard IEC 60118-4:2006. We support this requirement by providing free commercial induction loop training classes.
- The second and equally important aspect is the proper adjustment of the users hearing device, We work closely with audiologists and hearing centers to insure every loop system is connected to a trained hearing professional.
We provide education, training, referrals and support for induction loops of all sizes and configurations from homes and autos to churches, teller windows, schools, theaters and auditoriums.
